Why You Should Not Drink Water During Meals

Much is talked about how, to lose weight,
we need to take care of our diet, practice exercises, and specially of our water intake
during the day. And from that comes a question: are we drinking
enough water to keep us hydrated, and to boost our metabolism and eliminate toxins from our
body? Water has a very important role in our lives. It carries nutrients to the cells, helps with
digestion, regulates our body temperature, and plays an important role in the circulatory
system. Did you know that? Besides that, drinking water is good for your
health, even if you aren’t on a diet. As we have seen on the channel, drinking water
on an empty stomach, right after waking up, brings you many benefits. If you want to know more, click on the suggested
video. Did you know that adding a few drops of lemon
also helps? Lemon strengthens the immune, gastric, intestinal
systems, and acts as an anti-inflammatory. We have also talked about this on the channel. Water is always the best option for your drinks
because it hydrates, satiates, and has no calories. Besides that, it boost the metabolism and
helps with intestinal transit. However, according to studies, drinking water
during your main meals may not be so good. Do you know why? According to researchers, drinking water during
meals dilates your stomach, which causes bloating, reduces satiety, and makes your more hungry
after the meal. The bloating also can demotivate people from
following their diets. Are you liking this video so far? Give it a thumbs up and share it with your
friends who drink during their meals. It happens because, during digestion, we need
the gastric juices to act, breaking the nutrients down so that they can be absorbed by the body. When we ingest liquids, like water, juices,
beer, sodas, etc., during the meal, the gastric juice are diminished, which leads to poor
digestion. That’s why sometimes you may feel full, but
still feel like you didn’t eat much. The ideal is to ingest liquids 20 to 60 minutes
after your meals. In the beginning, if it feels hard to eat
without drinking anything, stipulate only 1 cup of water for your whole meal. Tell us, do you usually drink something while
you eat? Do you suffer from poor digestion or other
things? How about including this trick in your daily
life? Do it, and tell us how your experiment went!

  • Some study can arrive at any conclusion.Mine is drinking water keeps me from choking and hick ups and helps digest the food.Hot tea even better as the heat makes grease oils digest better.Ever one is different.

  • I have been doing this for all my life. Now I have to stop because I have bad digestive issues and now I know why. Thanks

  • As much as they say water weakens your stomach acid I have no large intestine left in my body from colitis which is now Crohn's and I was referred to basically take a sip of water with every bite of food in order to help it break down and weakened my stomach acid. Now without your large intestine none of your stomach acid is removed from your system so when I had a j pouch and still sat on the toilet all that stomach acid came out the rear side and was extremely hot and painful. It felt like my rear side was a blowtorch going 50 times a day. I also am the last one sitting at the table as I have to chew my food substantially more than anyone else to break it down and because it blows through my system so fast what I have for lunch is out by dinner and what I had dinner is out before I go to bed or all through the night which makes sleeping possible

  • I have always had something to drink while eating a meal. First it was milk now that I am a senior man & I was advised that drinking milk is not good. I switched to water instead. Guess now I’ll just have to stop drinking anything while eating. Guess I’ll go with a cup of water during my meal as you suggested. The information you present makes sense so I’m going to give it a try & will let you know. Great video
